Welcome to Foxwood Academy

We're delighted to have you visit our website.

Here, you should find all the information you need, but if you have any specific questions, please don't hesitate to contact us directly at the Academy. For quick assistance, the ‘Resources’ drop-down menu on the far right provides useful clips and video links.

Foxwood Academy serves children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), as well as their parents and carers. We aim to offer the support and help you need, starting with this website.

We have just over 110 students, supported by approximately 60 dedicated staff members. Our students range from 4 to 18 years old. Each student has an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) and faces challenges with cognition and learning. Around 75% of our students have an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC or ASD), while others have sensory and/or physical needs.

Our Curriculum

We believe that we know our Children and Young People (CYP) better than anyone. Our curriculum and assessment systems are bespoke to Foxwood. We have looked at the research, listened to other special and mainstream schools and we are proud to now have a research-informed contextual intelligent curriculum. Our curriculum aims to embrace and celebrate our differences and enrich the lives of our children and their families producing bright, happy, able and successful young people.
